Little League Alberta - Child Protection and Abuse Prevention Policy

Prior to Volunteering - all League and District volunteers must complete the following:

  1. Volunteer Application form either with your Designated League OR with Little League Alberta District 3.
  2. Online Safe Sport training through Coach.ca
  3. Read and Sign the LLAB Child Protection Program and Abuse Prevention Policy.
  4. Secure a clean check through the Calgary Police Information Check System.

Little League Alberta District 3 abides by the Little League International Child Protection Policy.

Little League has zero tolerance for any type of abuse against a minor, including, but not limited to, sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental, and emotional abuse (as well as any type of bullying, hazing, or harassment).

Any individual with an offense involving or against a minor (refer to Volunteer Application), will not be permitted to participate in any Little League programs or activities.

Local Little League programs who fail to enforce this zero-tolerance policy will face potential revocation or termination of their little league charter.

Child Safety Policies

Children are defined as a “vulnerable population” in many different contexts. Little League agrees that children need to be respected and protected in unique ways to ensure the safety of young people, and therefore have put in place the following policies for all individuals to follow.
